How to Wash, Refill and Care for Your Maine Warmer
Regular care helps a Maine Warmer stay clean, comfortable and ready for the next cold day. Every style has a Velcro closure, a removable and refillable cotton liner, and a washable outer item.
Heat and Chill It Assembled
During normal use, warm or chill the complete warmer as assembled. The cotton liner does not need to be removed before microwaving.
Remove the Liner Before Washing
Open the Velcro closure and remove the cotton liner before washing the outer item. On styles with a larger opening, the filled liner may pass through intact. On styles with a smaller opening, empty the corn first, then pull the empty liner through.
Wash and Dry Completely
Follow the fabric-care directions supplied with your warmer. Make sure both the outer item and cotton liner are completely dry before refilling and reassembling.
Refill When Needed
Use whole feed corn. Close the liner securely, return it through the opening, and fasten the Velcro enclosure before use. Do not microwave an empty outer item or loose corn.
